Recycled Art Exhibit Opens April First Friday

Historic Ritz Theatre 1530 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, GA

Golden Isles Arts & Humanities and Keep Golden Isles Beautiful are proud to present the Annual Recycled Art Exhibit in the Wilcox Gallery at the Historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick. This exhibit, featuring imaginative works that turns β€œtrash” into treasures, opens with a free public reception during First Friday festivities on April 7th, from 5-8 p.m.
Each year area students create imaginative visions and unique objects in just about every medium using discarded materials. The exhibit celebrates creativity and sustainability by showing unique ways that discarded items can become expressive works of art. The art is judged and awarded first, second, third and honorable mentions in four age divisions based on creativity and best use of recycled materials.
The show continues through April 28th. Wilcox Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., during performances and by appointment. For more information about this exhibit or other shows and performances, please contact Golden Isles Arts & Humanities at (912) 262-6934, info@goldenislesarts.org or visit our website at www.goldenislesarts.org.
