Bring the whole family for a magical holiday afternoon at the SoGlo Gallery / Brunswick Actors’ Theatre. Join us in your favorite Christmas PJ’s as we’re turning our pop-up cinema into a cozy winter wonderland for kids (and grown-ups too) with a special screening of The Polar Express.

Prior the movie, join us for hot chocolate and Christmas cookie decorating beginning at 1pm! Following the movie, snap photos with Santa Claus in our festive lobby! Parents can snap their own photos or have our on-site photographer capture the moment for you.

Proceeds support the creation of a new indie cinema + lounge experience coming soon to downtown Brunswick! Be among the first to experience the concept in action!

Michelle Malone and the Hot Toddies: A Christmas Concert

Michelle Malone and The Hot Toddies are world renowned musicians who just happened to meet in an Amtrak train station bar in Kalamazoo, MI on a snowy Christmas Eve. While stranded in a blizzard at the train station with no chance of getting home for the holidays, these fun-loving party favors decided to get out their instruments and provide the other stranded travelers with some real crazy holiday merriment that went into the wee hours of the morning when Santa finally arrived – and the rest is Toddie history!

Michelle Malone and The Hot Toddies have released three swinging and crooning Christmas albums for your holiday merriment. Their renditions of holiday classics range from toe tappers that swing to sweet ballads that pull your heart strings. Their shows are entertaining fun for the whole family, though you may choose to leave the little ones at home with those sugar plum dreams while you have a swimmingly good Toddie time.

The Hot Toddies are vocalist Michelle Malone (Kristian Bush/Sugarland, Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins), guitarist Doug Kees (Peter Searcy, Johnny Hyde Quartet, Canyonland), upright bassist Mark Lehi Jones (Deja Blue, Canyonland), and drummer Chris Burroughs (Lizz Wright, Chris Duarte).

Christmas Island Fusion Flow – Beginner Belly Dance

From December 5 to December 26, every Friday at 7:00 pm, we’ll learn a joyful routine to “Mele Kalikimaka” by Bing Crosby, taught by our wonderful April. Embrace the holiday vibes, unwind, and celebrate the season with us—no experience needed! This session is $60 for 4 classes and it is free for our monthly members!

We will take you on an unforgettable magical journey around the world, as well as inside your mind, and we will bring even more sparkle and joy to this holiday season!

Kids Belly Dance Session

You have asked, and here it is! For the first time ever, Golden Isles Belly Dance is excited to announce that we will be offering a 6-week kids’ belly dance session. This session is designed for children aged 7-12, and it will be taking place every Thursday, 6:30-7:30 pm, October 9 through November 13. And the best part? At the end of this session, you can watch your child perform at the Ritz Theatre, at our Dream So Real Christmas recital that will be taking place on November 20. The cost of this 6-week session is $80 total if signed up and paid before September 9, and $95 after September 9. The cost of the recital fee and the dress rehearsal will be covered by Dream So Real Inc, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This class is limited to 10 participants, so don’t procrastinate :).
Bring your kid to belly dance with us and see them shine on the big stage on November 20 at the Ritz Theatre!

Ritz Theatre Recital Belly Dance Session

In this session, we will get ready for our main Big Stage event of the year! Our Christmas recital at the Ritz Theatre – Dream So Real. Book and pay before September 3 and get all 6 sessions for $80. After September 3, the price will be $95 for 6 sessions. We will meet every Friday, starting October 3 through November 14, except Friday, October 31 (we will have a class on Sunday, November 2, at 3:00 pm instead) and no class on Friday, November 7. We will have a dress rehearsal at the Ritz Theatre on Wednesday, November 19, at 5:30 pm. Please note that participation in Dream So Real also requires an additional $50/person registration fee that comes with 2 admission tickets to the theater.
This session is free for our monthly members.
