The Brunswick DDA in association with the Georgia Barbeque Association, and the Marty Lyons Foundation invite you to the Brunswick Backyard BBQ, sponsored by,  Step One Automotive, Golden Isles Broadcasting, Edward Jones – Jeff Jones, Clearwave Fiber, Compass 360 Realty, Leaf Home Water Solutions, Logos and More, Saint Simons Inn by the Lighthouse, Sunderhaus, iHeart Media Group, and The Islander. We want to welcome our visitors and show them the best that the Golden Isles has to offer with great food, fun, music, and of course BBQ.

Our goal is to bring the community together with this free event as pit-masters, restaurants, and up-and-comers come to compete to say who has the best BBQ in the Golden Isles.

Teams competing this year: Red Dirt BBQ, Out Smokin’ BBQ, Reu-B-Que, Baby O’s BBQ, 9 Juan 2 BBQ, Peach Coast BBQ, J Dubs Stew & Que, In Law BBQ, Fletcher’s Finest BBQ, Peter’s BBQ, Hog Harris BBQ, and Chop It Like It’s Hot.

Tickets for the People’s Choice is just $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. To pre-order your tickets, click here. You can also purchase tickets at the event on Friday, February 17th and on Saturday, February 18th (cash only).

John Emil to perform at the Brunswick Backyard BBQ, Friday Night, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM and Saturday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
John Emil , an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist, and a master of slide guitar, has delivered show stopping performances at major music festivals like the Carl Sandburg Folk Festival, the Leek Blues & Americana Festival’s UK, the Florida Folk Festival’s and support act for The Steep Canyon Rangers. Fans hear haunting, subtle hints of Delta bluesmen Son House and Blind Willie Johnson, but John Emil ultimately creates a unique style all his own by integrating blues, folk and bluegrass sounds into his repertoire.
