DESCRIPTION:Golden Isles Arts and Humanities is pleased to bring back one of our favorite performers\, Katie Deal\, on Saturday\, March 19\, 2022 at 7:30 pm at the Historic Ritz Theatre.   Katie’s show that evening\, Real Deal Country\, will feature classic country tunes that made country music famous\, from the famed ‘Nashville Sound’ to the music that it inspired including those infamous Nashville duets and other timeless country classics. \n​A Georgia-born artist\, Katie is best known for her authentic country sound. She has wowed audiences nationally and internationally\, most notably for her portrayal of Patsy Cline in two national tours of A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline and in her own show Today\, Tomorrow & Forever: A Tribute to Patsy Cline. Katie has also toured the shows; I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues: A Salute to Ella\, Judy & Patsy\, Classic Nashville Roadshow\, and Country Royalty with Jason Petty. She is the 2016 recipient of the Georgia Country Artist of the Year Award and an honored member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame. \n​As a recording artist and singer-songwriter\, Katie has written and performed with top Nashville songwriters: Bruce Burch (Reba McEntire\,) Amanda Colleen Williams (Garth Brooks\,) Brandon Bush (Sugarland) and John Driskell Hopkins (Zac Brown Band.) She has opened shows for country legends John Conlee\, Sammy Kershaw\, Collin Raye\, B.J. Thomas\, Country Family Reunion (Bill Anderson\, Jeannie Seely\, T.G. Sheppard.) and Rhonda Vincent.
