Jewish Culture and Food Festival
March 12, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pmFree
Brunswick’s Jewish Food and Culture Festival is back for 2023
Event will feature a range of Jewish food and Klezmer band
Mark your calendars! After a three-year hiatus, the Jewish Food and Culture Festival will return to downtown Brunswick on Sunday, March 12.
Hosted by Brunswick’s own Temple Beth Tefilloh, the festival will run from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Jekyll squares off of Newcastle Street.
The festival will feature Jewish cuisine–think kugel, Matzah ball soup, and more!
The seven-member band Klezmer Local 42 from Athens, Ga., will provide traditional Eastern European music. At 1 p.m., Rabbi Rachael Bregman will officiate a wedding vow renewal ceremony, then all are invited to dance the Horah. Children can make tzedakah boxes, and Klezmer Local 42 will play while participants take part in a Purim prize walk. Be sure to bring some canned food as a donation in order to participate.
Admission to the festival is free. Tickets for food are $1 each, and food costs between four and eight tickets per item. Proceeds from the festival will fund the restoration of Brunswick’s historic synagogue and general support of Temple Beth Tefilloh. Venmo, cash and credit cards will all be accepted. Temple tours can be arranged.
Sponsorships are available for $250. A sponsor logo will appear on our flyers, ads and signs at the event. Sponsors are invited to provide brochures for display at an information table.
