BRUNSWICK, GA- The wonderful and colorful work of Glynn County K-12 students returns to the Ritz Theatre Gallery when the Annual Student Art Show opens during the First Tuesday Gallery Showcase on December 3, 2024 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
The exhibit features hundreds of art pieces in every medium made by creative K-12 students. “We are always excited about this exhibit each year,” says Heather Heath, executive director, Golden Isles Arts and Humanities. “It is so bright and imaginative, and adds to the festive holiday season. The talented work of these young artists is an inspiration.”
The First Tuesday Gallery Showcase is new this year and is designed to make the art front and center while still encouraging people to come downtown, take in the cultural aesthetic of Brunswick, and stay and grab some dinner at one of the many local restaurants. And with no street closures, parking will be much easier. Participating galleries include Kenny Nobles Photography/Creative Frameworks, Brown Butter Shoppe, and Atlanta North Art Gallery at Gloucester Street and Albany Street (across from SchroGlo Restaurant), and SoGlo Gallery at 1413 Newcastle Street, and The Brunswick Library Gallery at 208 Gloucester Street.
The Annual Student Art Show will be on display from December 3 – through January 24 and can be seen Tuesday -Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or by appointment or during events. (Please note: The Ritz Theatre will be closed December 23 – January 1 for the holidays.)
