BRUNSWICK, GA- The First Tuesday Gallery Showcase in downtown Brunswick continues on November 5, 2024 and several others galleries are joining in the fun. Brunswick galleries will be showcasing their respective exhibits with opportunities to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and spend the evening in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The Gallery Showcase takes place from 5 to 7 pm.
The first Tuesday in November, patrons can stop into the Brunswick Library and see the work of Linda Shannon, local painter whose work focuses on the local landscapes and sites of the Golden Isles. SoGlo Gallery is opening a new exhibit, A Child for All Seasons A Retrospective Exhibition of paintings with book signing by artist Jerry Luke. The Wilcox Gallery in the Historic Ritz Theatre continues it’s “The Art of Brunswick” celebrating the past, present and future of Brunswick with historic photos and memorabilia and artwork by local artists. Joining the Showcase this month are Atlanta North Art Gallery (1306 Gloucester Street) featuring the work of artist and owner Gary Grace and Kenny Nobles Photography/Creative Frameworks (1302 Gloucester Street) of landscapes, wildlife, and lifestyles of those living or visiting Coastal Georgia.
The Gallery Showcase is designed to make the art front and center while still encouraging people to come downtown, take in the cultural aesthetic of Brunswick, and stay and grab some dinner at one of the many local restaurants. And with no street closures, parking will be much easier.
